Mental Health Days are Important for Everyone in the Family
You read that correctly……. mental health days are important for all members of the family. Even kids need a day off on a regular basis. It has become so normal to be “busy” all the time. Many families have revolving garage doors that escort everyone to all the activities and errands. I like to call it being an “uber parent”.
What if we had built in mental health days for everyone? This will look different for each person and it’s possible everyone would have to take turns for the system to work.
My kids love to have days where they stay in their pj’s all day and play with their toys instead of running from school to sports to errands.
I love to have a chill day where I can sleep in, take a long bath/shower, and cook nothing.
